How to test

Just a few minutes a day, over 3–5 days - that's all it takes.

Work through these steps at your own pace. There's no pressure to do everything at once - even one or two steps gives us useful feedback.

1

Set up your account

Download the app, sign in with your email (or Apple on iOS / Google on Android), and complete your profile. Then invite your partner using the pairing flow.

2

Write notes & track moods

Send one note a day over a few days - mood is part of each note. After a couple of days, browse your history together to see how it looks.

3

Do the daily quiz

Answer the daily question, then guess your partner's answer. Check the results, explore their responses, and browse the history screen.

4

Check notifications & reminders

Notifications are how you find out when your partner writes a note or answers a quiz, and they power your personal daily reminder to keep the habit going. Check if they arrive on time and whether the frequency feels right.

5
Optional

Explore premium

The upgrade prompt appears in several places around the app. Tap through it whenever you see it - you won't be charged during beta testing (TestFlight on iOS / App Distribution on Android). Note whether it feels clear and compelling.

Turn on notifications

Thankful only uses notifications to let you know when your partner writes a note or answers a quiz, and to send your personal daily reminder. That's it - no marketing, no spam. You can always adjust the timing in your device settings.

Things to pay attention to

  • Is the onboarding and pairing process clear, or were you confused at any point?
  • Does writing a note feel natural and rewarding, or like a chore?
  • Did you notice anything broken, slow, or missing?
  • Is there a feature you expected the app to have but didn't find?
  • Would you open this app again tomorrow on your own? Why or why not?
